Some of the actions of Jesus are themselves like parables. For example, at Cana, Jesus changed six water pots containing ritual water for cleansing, into wine, when the wine for the wedding feast ran short. According to St. Augustine, the number six is a sacred number because it is a triangular number, and it is both the sum of one, two and three, and also the multiple of one and two and three. This, he said, is why creation came about in six symbolic days.
